October 15th, 2007-Ultraviolet Resources, of Westlake, OH, and Tan U, Ltd., of Cedarburg, WI, announced the creation of a new business entity, Tan U International (TUI). Dave Myers, President of URI, will also assume the position of President of TUI, and Dan Skelton, formerly president of Tan-U, Ltd., will become the new Executive Vice President of TUI.
Tan-U International will continue to operate out of its Wisconsin home, and continue its strong upper Midwest presence in the indoor tanning industry.
URI has purchased a larger building in Westlake, OH., and the transition to its new headquarters is already underway. After the move, URI will double its warehouse capacity to 43,000 sq. ft. It's the second time in seven years URI has dramatically increased its operational space.
As a result of the merger, URI is extremely proud to welcome back number-one selling ETS lotion brands Australian Gold and Swedish Beauty, in addition to ETS' popular lamp choices. The sheer breadth and depth of the ETS product lines has had an immediate positive impact on salons currently doing business with URI, affording them with nearly double the amount of lotions from which to choose. ETS' product development and powerhouse industry standards and programs will solidify URI as a full service national distributor.
